RETREAT OVERVIEW

Our relaxing retreat venue offers stunning award winning accommodation on the edge of a small rural village in the gorgeous Tamar Valley, with over 40 acres of grounds, the Wanderlust Cornwall retreat includes private river frontage onto a shingle beach, woodlands, an orchard, the Salt Marsh Nature Reserve, tennis court, games room and hot tubs.

The rooms are divided between a converted barn, a traditional stone barn and a cottage. All the luxurious touches have been considered, with Egyptian cotton bed linen, white fluffy cotton towels and complementary toiletries included.

We believe that on these retreats, we have to look after all parts of our body, as well as our minds, and therefore offer vegetarian meals from our fantastic holistic chef.  We work alongside chef to ensure that you are nourished and have the high quality of food you deserve.

A stunning atmospheric therapy room is available for us to use if you would like us to organise any treatments including massage, facials, reflexology and reiki.

There are lots of fantastic walks around the farm, down to the river and further afield.

VENUE

We use eco conscious venues where we can

Our venue works to reduce the impact on the environment, for example by managing the land lightly, using solar power, growing their own produce and also sourcing other produce locally.

The retreat is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Site of Special Scientific Interest. There are flora, fauna and geological features of special interest, including kingfishers, herons, buzzards, egrets, pheasants, nesting owls and bats, and our beautiful Highland Cattle. The venue uses its own log supply, encourages full recycling and uses eco-friendly cleaning products.

Location

Located on the Devon/Cornwall border, just north of Plymouth. There is a direct train from London Paddington to Plymouth (takes approximately 3 hours 30 minutes). We can hapily arrange for you to be picked up from the station (a small charge will apply).

Gill

Gill discovered yoga over 11 years ago and first came to the mat to explore the physical benefits of the practice but quickly discovered these benefits reach much further than the physical body.

Gill strongly believes that yoga is for everyone, irrespective of ability or background, yoga is accessible to all. Once the exploration of this amazing practice begins, we find a quiet and calm mind, the ability to be present, challenge yourself, explore the possibilities and most of all have some fun.

She completed her Yoga Alliance training in Costa Rica and has trained in Ashtanga and Vinyasa practices. Gill is also an adventurous soul and has travelled extensively to over 100 countries and all seven continents.
