Why should I book with Wanderlust Yoga & Adventures?

It's all about you, all our trips and bespoke and designed with you in mind.  Our trips are designed to give you an unforgettable experience, all that a yoga retreat offers plus exciting and thrilling adventures and much more. 

An experienced team of international event organisers look after you from the beginning to the end and beyond.

We will host your trip, meaning that we are available 24/7 to help you both in the lead up to your trip and once you get to your destination – all that’s left for you to do is enjoy yourself, we will take care of everything.

Your safety - Our priority

We will outline safety protocols and local measures for each trip we offer.

You’ll find a Coronavirus section on every retreat page for retreats due to take place in that year. This section outlines the safe retreating protocol, along with any changes to the plan and the specific safety measures being introduced in each location. As a minimum on all retreats you can expect:

  • Excellent hygiene standards: Each of our retreat locations has a protocol in place that covers their cleaning, hygiene and disinfection processes, how they manage public areas and shared bathrooms, staff training, the use of PPE and local testing procedures

  • Expert local information: We have a great relationship with all of our local hosts, who are closely monitoring the situation in their countries and providing up to date information to ensure we are safe and well looked after

  • Plenty of space in yoga classes: Where-ever possible yoga classes will take place outside. If this is not possible, our yoga rooms will be set up observing the 2-metre rule between mats

  • Small groups: Many of our retreats are for 12 people or less, and if there are more, we are making sure there is plenty of space for everyone

If you develop Coronavirus symptoms while on a retreat, your host will assist you to get medical attention as soon as possible and ensure that you are well looked after until you can get home. It is important that you have travel insurance that covers medical costs incurred due to Coronavirus as all expenses for testing, treatment or self-isolation will need to be covered by you.

What to expect on a Wanderlust Yoga & Adventure retreat?

Firstly, you can expect yoga for all – it doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner or a seasoned yoga practitioner, we can adapt the yoga sessions for all.  

You can expect first class yoga, fun adventure activities, lets of positive energy, fantastic accommodation in beautiful surrounds – not to mention healthy food and a friendly, laid back and positive atmosphere.

Our trips offer you a relaxing, recharging get away with plenty of options for relaxation, the opportunity to meet new people and welcoming surroundings – with yoga sessions to energise and restore. Along side this we are offering an exciting programme of activities and experiences that can all be booked for your by our event team.

Every trip has a dedicated team – yoga instructor, professional retreat producer and onsite host - our experience team are committed to making your trip the best experience possible.  All our trips are a mix of great yoga, well-planned travel and great adventures.

Coronavirus statement

It seems like quite a long time since we were all able to enjoy the freedom, we take for granted.  We are all now in need of a relaxing retreat or an exciting adventure. Travel restrictions are easing, the airlines are getting back to what they do, and we are now working hard with our local hosts to offer you the relaxation and adventure we all crave.  We are planning an exciting new programme of options in the UK, Europe and further afield for 2021.  We will of course only run trips when it is safe to do so and, in an environment, where we fully comply with all required Covid19 measures.  We will also ensure that any local measures are implemented and that these do not negatively affect the retreat experience.

Dipping your toe in?

Why not!  Try one of our shorter 3-night breaks – perfect for the weekend getaway or dipping your toe in before you join one of our longer trips.

How do I book?

Before you book, feel free to ask us any questions you may have, we are here to help!  Bookings are taken directly with us via email or over the phone. On booking we will ask for a 50% deposit, this can be paid by bank transfer directly to us or by card using PayPal.  You will then receive a balance payment reminder from us 8 weeks prior to the trip.  For further details around our terms and conditions please click here.

What yoga styles are taught?

Most of our trips offer a morning Vinyasa flow class which is quite active and invigorating, and a restorative yoga class in the evening.  Both classes are suitable for all levels. 

We may also bring in guest teachers in certain destinations to offer you a more ‘local’ flavour and some added variety! – especially on our week-long adventures.

I don’t have much yoga experience, can beginners join?

Most definitely!  Our trips are a great way to expand your yoga practice and dip your toe into what, for most of us, becomes a healthier and improved way of life.  All yoga classes are adapted to suit those who are coming to the yoga mat for the first time up to experienced practitioners… yoga is accessible to everyone.

There is no need to be nervous or worry you won’t be able to manage the yoga classes, you will and you will love it!

How many people normally go?

Normally between 8 - 14 people. It depends on local coronavirus restrictions, we need to ensure we are practising within the safe guidelines.

What does the cost cover?

You will find the details of what is covered in the cost under each destination.  On most of our trips you will only need to bring some money for a few essential presents and treats for yourself.

Flights, transfers to and from the venue to airports or train stations are not included – we can of course help you to organise flights and transfers.

Adventure activities will be offered at additional cost and confirmed when you book, you do of course have the option to add any of these at a later day (subject to availability).

Insurance requirements

Insurance is required for trips outside the UK which must also have Covid cover.

What age are the people on the trips?

There is certainly no average, we welcome anyone on our retreats – people of all different ages connect with like-minded people whatever their age – please don’t let age be a barrier.

Packing list – what do you need?

Bring what you would normally take on a weekend break or holiday plus some yoga gear – which doesn’t have to be a fancy make, just what you feel comfortable in – yoga is a practice of non-judgement and so are the clothes you feel comfy wearing!

I will be coming solo

About a third of people who go on a yoga adventure travel alone.  Travelling solo is one of the best ways to travel, exciting and brings a sense of independence, meet like-minded people, learn some new skills and most of all have a great time – single travellers are more than welcome.

We have many solo guests joining our yoga trips.  There is the option to twin with another solo guest or if you prefer to be by yourself, a single occupancy room is available.  (Twin share rooms may be affected by Covid restrictions, we can help you with this when you book).

The most important thing to keep in mind is that on all our trips you will be in safe hands.

If you arrive solo, you will leave the retreat with new, lifelong friends. 

Can non-yoga practitioners come along?

Sure, if you have a friend who prefers not to practice but would still like to come, they are more than welcome.  We can help them with other activities they may enjoy.  The price would be less for anyone not practicing yoga, please contact us for details.

Are flights included?

Flights are not included in the cost of our retreats as we have people travelling from all over the world.  We have chosen our destinations based on ease of flight access and transfer time from main international airport hubs.

Can you help with airport transfers?

We most certainly can, once you have booked a trip and your flights, speak to us and we will assist with airport transfers once you arrive at your destination. We can buddy you up with other people on your flight to make the transfer as cost efficient as possibl

The trip I want is sold out – can I join a waitlist?

Absolutely! If the retreat you want is sold out, please email hello@wanderlustyoga.co.uk and we will pop you on our waitlist. If a spot opens up, we’ll notify you straight way.

Can I extra nights outside of the trip dates?

Yes, we are more than happy to look into this for you, depends of course on availability so please contact us and let us know what you would like to plan. We have experienced event managers able to help and advise

What will the food be like?

We strive to source all our food locally, fresh ingredients as often as possible. Please let us know on prior to travel if you have any food allergies or other dietary requirements. All meals with be vegetarian with some plant based.

What if I need to cancel?

If for any reason you have to cancel, please contact us straight away.

Do men go on your trips?

Yes!  Our trips are open to all – interestingly up until 1937 yoga was a male-only practice!
